Donated Car to Carjacking Victim
When a member of the community experienced a traumatic car-jacking, we wanted to provide some support. "The Larry H. Miller dealerships, that's what we do, what we're about: helping out in the community," said Brent Wood, General Manager of Larry H. Miller Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram 104th. "We really believe in giving back to the community and giving back until there is too much good in the world."
Repairing the car that was stolen was going to cost more than the car was worth, and Nick had minimal insurance. So the FOX31 Problem Solvers connected him with Wood, who presented him with a 2013 Dodge Dart. "We're going to turn a really bad situation into a good situation for you. I know how traumatic that was for you," Wood said to Nick.Â

Day of ServiceÂ
In honor of Larry H. Miller's birthday on April 26, employees of the Larry H. Miller Group volunteer their time for a Day of Service to help a local non-profit for the day. Volunteer opportunities have included maintaining parks & trails, building fences, painting homes, making and serving food at shelters, building and restoring playgrounds, planting trees and more! Larry H. Miller employees also donate a portion of each paycheck to give back to their community, because we believe in doing good until there's too much good in the world.Â

Clear the Air Foundation
The team at Larry H. Miller Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram 104th presented a check for $20,000 to the Colorado Automobile Dealers Association's Clear the Air Foundation (on behalf of the Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation). The Clear the Air Foundation strive's to effectively lessen the amount of pollution emitted by old or not properly maintained vehicles on Colorado's roads. The goal of CTAF is to help Colorado citizens who suffer from asthma or other environment-related breathing disorders by improving the air in which we breathe and to provide scholarships to students who want to further their education in the automotive or technology fields. After an older car is donated to the Foundation, it is taken to an auto recycling company, processed for all reusable or recyclable parts, and the engine, shell and frame are crushed so they cannot pollute again.
