We have put together a list of concerts coming to the Denver area that are sure to launch you right into a nostalgic, sepia-toned trance. From Def Leppard to Alice Cooper to Yo-Yo Ma, these are some big-name bands that you won’t want to miss.


Def Leppard

July 21, 6:00 p.m. @ Coors Field

Def Leppard is a British rock band created in 1977. With over 100 million records sold across the world, they are one of the top selling bands in history.

July 24, 7:00 p.m. @ Pepsi Center

Foreigner was founded in NYC in 1976. Mick Jones is the only original band member still performing in the band today.


Falling under the hard rock genre, Whitesnake is a widely known British rock band formed in the late 1970s. The band has broken up and rejoined a couple of times, most recently back in 2002.


Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience has been touring across North America for nearly a decade, bringing the music of Led Zeppelin back to the live stage for audiences to enjoy.

Shania Twain

Shania Twain is the highest grossing female country singer of all time, and with over 100 million records sold, one of the top selling artists period. According to the RIAA, Twain is the only female artist to have three albums in a row reach Diamond certification.

Weezer is an American rock band founded in 1992. The band has sold just over 17 million records worldwide, ranging from classical rock to a more modern pop-rock sound in recent years.

Steve Miller Band

August 4, 7:30 p.m. @ Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre

Formed in 1966, the Steve Miller Band is led by Steve Miller himself. Two years ago, Miller was inducted as a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Solo Artist. The band is famous for its classic rock hits, which still play regularly on many radio stations today.

Alice Cooper

August 8, 7:30 p.m. @ Pikes Peak Center

Alice Cooper is known primarily for his shockingly obscure rock music and live performances, including his outrageously raspy voice and wild stage props. Once known as a band name, Alice Cooper took on a solo career and the famous band’s name for his own in the late 1970s.

1964 the Tribute has been performing original Beatles’ hits for nearly 35 years. The band was formed in 1984 with no plans to stop performing in the near future.

Dave Matthews Band

Dave Matthews Band, or DMB, is from Charlottesville, Virginia.  Since its conception, the DMB has been known for slightly altering the way they play their songs during each live performance. Collectively, the band has sold a combined 68 million CDs and DVDs, as well as totaling over 80 million ticket sales in the past 27 years.

Lionel Richie is an extremely famous American singer-songwriter-producer, specializing in soul and R&B genres. Until 1982, Richie was a member of the Commodores, a funk and soul band of the late 1960s. Having sold over 90 billion records, Richie is one of the top grossing artists of all time.
