Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk Shows Off Hellcat-Like Performance in NYC

While we’re quite content with the Grand Cherokee SRT and its off-road rated Trailhawk version (which has just returned for 2017!), we couldn’t help but wonder. What would it be like to drive a variant with the Hellcat SRT’s supercharged HEMI? Now, we’re getting our wish. Meet the 707-horsepower Grand Cherokee Trackhawk—an AWD performance SUV, and the most powerful Jeep model out there.

Although the Trackhawk has 5 lb-ft of torque less than the Hellcats, we don’t think many will miss it. After all, the AWD system can be tailored using drive modes to send as much of that power pretty much wherever you want. In regular drive, 40 percent of the power goes forward, and 60 percent to the rear wheels. Track mode alters this to 30/70, with 50/50 available in snow mode. All-told, the Trackhawk will reach 60 mph in 3.5 seconds.

If that isn’t enough to impress you, we don’t know what will. If you want to scope out the Trackhawk for yourself, contact our Jeep model dealership in Thornton, CO and make your interest known.
