Jeep Trailcat Concept is a Mean, Hellcat-Powered Off-Roader

Ever since the Hellcat engine debuted in Dodge's Charger and Challenger, drivers around the world have wondered in what other models FIAT Chrysler would apply it to. We already know that the Jeep Grand Cherokee was next on the docket, but recently, the Auburn Hills SUV maker unveiled the Trailcat Concept for this year's Moab Easter Jeep Safari.

The Trailcat is, in essence, a Wrangler packing the same 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V8 that underpins the Dodge SRTs. Like them, the Trailcat boasts 707 horsepower mated to a six-speed manual transmission. To accommodate the mill and make it easier to handle, the Jeep brand cut own the windshield height and stretched the wheelbase by two inches. As you can see in the image above, it looks beastly.

The 50th annual Moab Safari kicks off in just a couple of weeks, and we'll be covering any updates on our blog! In the meantime, our Jeep model dealership in Thornton, CO would be more than happy to help you find the car that fits you best. Drop us a line.
